CFA SOCIETIES AUSTRALIA
CFA Societies Australia represents the CFA Institute in Australia. The organisation was established to help lead the Australian investment management profession by raising ethical and professional standards, promoting education and professional development, deepening engagement with members and industry stakeholders, and increasing brand awareness of the CFA designation.
CFA Societies Australia is a collaboration of three member societies in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, and a chapter in Brisbane. With more than 3,500 members and 4,700 CFA Program candidates across Australia, it is a key player in the investment industry in advocating best practice and professional excellence, and promoting the integrity of financial markets.
Initiatives to increase female participation
Diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) are critical to the future of the investment management industry. CFA Societies Australia seeks to drive DE&I efforts in the investment management industry toward more progressive policies and to demonstrate best practice to create a more inclusive investment profession.
The organisation forms meaningful partnerships to encourage the next generation of female finance and investment professionals, offering intern programmes, scholarships for women, education and professional learning series, and social networking opportunities to connect and engage. | INVESTMENT FOUNDATIONS® CERTIFICATE | The goal of the Investment Foundations® certificate is to provide a comprehensive overview of the investment industry and its structure, function, and role in global capital markets and society. Attendees gain real, tangible knowledge of the fundamentals of the industry, and receive a framework to better understand, solve and communicate solutions for complex issues. Completion of all six courses provides eligibility to take the final assessment, which when passed confers an Investment Foundations® certificate. | ||

Get ready for the machine learning revolution. The Data Science for Investment Professionals certificate provides practical knowledge of data techniques and machine learning fundamentals and how they are used in the investment process. This certificate is designed to enable participants to apply machine learning concepts to real-world investment problems and explain them clearly to a nonexpert audience and clients. The certificate provides practical experience through immersive code labs that draw on realworld scenarios. The certificate is composed of five courses with practical application exercises and one final assessment. |
