Australia’s thriving domestic tier-two market has delivered two more significantly oversubscribed deal books, for Bank of Queensland and Hollard Insurance Company. Deal sources say the former compressed its spread to major banks by approximately 10 basis points versus where its last tier-two deal landed in November 2021, even though bank spreads were particularly tight at the time due to the Reserve Bank of Australia’s term funding facility.
