Taurus Auto Finance

Taurus Auto Finance is a technology-led finance company that originates retail auto loans for prime customers and provides floorplan finance to automotive dealers.

Taurus was founded in 2016 and started originating retail auto loans in October 2019. As of 31 August 2022, Taurus Finance had originated A$550 million of retail auto loans to 16,000 borrowers. Taurus commenced floorplan finance in August 2020.

Taurus’s philosophy is simple: a singular focus on increasing the conversion of auto finance customers and increasing finance penetration for its dealer and original equipment manufacturer partners. This is achieved through the competitive advantages Taurus possesses. These include a strong relationship with key distribution partners, deep understanding of customer needs and efficient origination processes supported by proprietary technology.

Taurus is headquartered in North Sydney with workers across the country. Its workforce comprises 35% female staff and 50% from multicultural backgrounds.

Taurus is supported by two institutional shareholders, who have continued to demonstrate their support.

Taurus has a diversified funding platform with securitisation funding relationships across major domestic and global banks, and institutional investors.

The business currently has multiple warehouses. Taurus also achieved a major milestone in 2022 with the launch of its inaugural ABS transaction, a A$280 million deal that provided a wider range of institutional investors with access to high-quality auto loan assets. Taurus will become a regular issuer with a focus on supporting its investors with a high credit quality customer base.
