Corporate Australia makes hay in global markets

In November, Crédit Agricole CIB and KangaNews arranged a roundtable discussion for some of Australia’s leading corporate issuers. At the back end of a phenomenal year for local and global credit issuance, participants discussed demand, funding and execution strategy, the growing prominence of the euro and Australian dollar markets, and the changing manner in which investors are addressing sustainability. Australia’s fifth airport print of 2024 not a cookie cutter affair

Melbourne Airport is the fifth issuer in its sector to access the Australian dollar market this year and deal sources say the deal outcome demonstrates investors’ ongoing appetite for critical infrastructure credit and willingness to support less-common deal tenor. However, leads say the issuer’s specific attributes and growth areas also helped attract investor interest to what was its first Australian dollar deal in three years.
